PROFILE
Bradford P. Johnson
- Brad Johnson engages in the general practice of law that is national in scope, having founded his firm in 1985 in the District of Columbia. He is a member of the bar associations of Washington, DC and Vermont. Mr. Johnson represents a wide range of individual and business clients in commercial, probate, and property matters. He advises government contracting firms on FAR compliance, human resource development, business development and other operational and transactional issues. Mr. Johnson also has provided international development technical assistance in legal reform, anti-corruption, governance and related issues in many countries worldwide. Mr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College, a Master's from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and his Juris Doctor from Antioch School of Law. He also studied at the graduate level at Moscow's Pushkin Institute (Russian studies) and George Mason University (conflict resolution). Mr. Johnson serves on the boards of the Capitol Hill Business Improvement District, the Institute of World Affairs, Capitol Hill Community Foundation, the Global Land Alliance, the Small Business Association for International Companies, and is an elected member of the school board of the Mt. Abraham Middle and High School in Bristol, VT. He is the President of the Capitol Hill Association of Merchants and Professionals (CHAMPS). Mr. Johnson speaks Russian and conversational Spanish. Together with his wife, Ellen Yount, Mr. Johnson leads the One Connected Village Foundation, which aims to support women and girls worldwide. Mr. Johnson divides his time between his Starksboro, VT family farm and Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
